How to Get Started with Support at Home

Navigating the aged care system can feel overwhelming, but we are here to make the process as simple and straightforward as possible. Here is how to get started:

Contact My Aged Care

Begin by contacting My Aged Care online at www.myagedcare.gov.au or by calling 1800 200 422. They will discuss your daily needs, health, and what matters most to you. You can also register a trusted person as a support contact.

Complete an Aged Care Assessment

My Aged Care will arrange an assessment to determine the most appropriate level of support for your needs. Following your assessment, you will receive written confirmation of the services and funding you have been approved to receive.

Understanding the costs

Depending on your financial circumstances, Services Australia will conduct an income assessment to determine your contribution toward care costs. If you are already receiving a government payment, call Services Australia on 1800 227 475 with your financial details ready.

Receive Your Support at Home Allocation

Once your funding becomes available, you will receive a letter confirming your Support at Home allocation. From this date, you will have 56 days to choose an approved provider to deliver your services.

Co-Founder

Aklesh Pasuleti brings a rare combination of aged care experience and business administration expertise to the Comficare leadership team.

With a background spanning operations and management, he has developed strong practical knowledge across regulatory compliance, financial oversight, and facility commissioning.

Aklesh leads the financial and operational functions of Comficare with precision and transparency.
